- National Contact Point (NCP, Taiwan) seeks to facilitate the engagement of industries, universities, research institutes and their researchers in Taiwan with the European Research Frameworks and other related EU opportunities for mutual collaboration between the European Union and Taiwan. The goal of NCP, Taiwan is to increase the quality, quantity, profile, and impact of Taiwan-EU research cooperation under the new research scheme - Horizon 2020 by developing and executing a series of activities such as info-days, seminars, exchange visits, technical assistance, workshops and relevant events designed to increase the awareness and opportunities of involvement to new collaborative projects.
The NCP, Taiwan office facilitates research institutes and scholars to obtain the latest information about Horizon 2020 and its open calls for research proposals. The details about call information can be accessed via the CORDIS and Participant Portal linkages of NCP, Taiwan website. Newly announced national funding mechanisms for EU research projects are updated accordingly. Furthermore, assistance in connecting with international and domestic specialists, scholars, and entrepreneurs, who share similar research and collaborative interests, would be able to receive support in establishing collaboration with the European Union.
